The short version. Everything you enter into Secret Santa Name Draw is stored on your phone and is never sent to us. There is no account and no login. It contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK. Data leaves your device only when you choose to send someone their match, and when you buy a subscription, which is handled by Google Play and by our payments provider, RevenueCat.
Secret Santa Name Draw is published by Lakeside Digital. If you have a question about anything on this page, write to scanlystudio.support@proton.me and a person will answer.
The app keeps everything you enter on your device, in the app’s own storage:
None of this is sent to us. There is no account and no server of ours; nothing is collected and nothing passes through a server of ours, because we do not have one. The app never reads your contacts: every name is typed in by you.
When you tap to send someone their match, the app opens your phone’s standard share sheet with a short text message (the event, and the name of the person they are giving a gift to). You choose the app and the recipient; the message is sent by that app, under its own privacy policy. We never see it.
During setup the app may ask for permission to show notifications. Saying no changes nothing else in the app, and you can change it at any time in your phone’s settings. The app asks for no other permission.
One service is involved, and only in connection with a purchase.
When you start a free trial, buy a subscription, buy the lifetime option, or tap “Restore”, the purchase is processed by Google through Google Play. We use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is valid and still active. For that, RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated for your installation, the Google Play transaction details for what you bought, and basic device and country information supplied by the store. It does not receive your name, your email address, or anything else listed above. RevenueCat acts as our processor. Their own privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Secret Santa Name Draw is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Because your entries never leave your phone, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Deleting the app removes them. Purchase records held by RevenueCat and by Google are retained under their own policies and for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information held about you, and to object to certain processing. In practice we hold almost nothing: what you enter is on your device only, and the purchase record is keyed to an anonymous identifier. If you want to exercise a right, or want the purchase record associated with your installation deleted, write to scanlystudio.support@proton.me and we will act on it. To manage or cancel a subscription itself, use the Google Play Store app → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be flagged in the app.
